Through Still Water

Three deer move through a dark stretch of water, their silhouettes caught between a shadowed woodland bank and bands of warm reflected light. The animals sit high in the composition, allowing the rippled foreground to carry much of the atmosphere. The eye moves from the bright gold reflection upwards towards the quiet procession beyond.
